Impossibly good. I will literally drive an hour to get an omelette. This place is the reason why my spice tolerance has gone up. I have been building my tolerance so that I can have more FLAVOR

Tried this today for lunch and I can recommend that you give it a try. Service is fantastic and the inside is light, bright and clean. The heat scale on the menu is no joke.. it goes from 1 to 12 I think... 3 is as hot as siracha so 4 is way hotter and it goes up from there... the garlic fries are very good with a nice crispy texture. Tried the chicken burger which is a katsu style chicken piece with curry sauce... very good but also very messy...go give it a try!

I was eating my yummy chicken cutlet curry with vegetables and a fly flew into my friend's food. We gave it to the waitress and she insisted that she compensated for his dish and brought out a new curry dish for him for free. They were so understanding of the unique situation and the fly didn't kill the fun vibes we had going on!

Since my last review, they have added MANY new options. Solid place for curry in the area and is always consistent. They updated the menu to have lvl 20 spice, please do not get this. Its not spicy but you wont taste anything and its really oily. Great place otherwise.

Coco Ichibanya always hits the spot! If you're looking for some good Japanese curry, this is the place to go. Food: 5/5 My go to order is the thinly sliced beef (comes with onions too), no spicy and occasionally add some cheese (I'm lactose but it's worth it lol). Okay but the star of the show and must try are the pickled radishes they have out on the table! They pair so perfectly with the curry! Service: 4/5 No complaints but they're trying out a new ordering through the phone system.. not a fan lol. But the good thing is that you can still ring the door bell on your table and a server will come assist you. Ambiance: 4/5 Lots of tables but it can get busy. The parking situation kind of sucks because the lot is ALWAYS full. Overall, Coco Ichibanya is a local fave for me. Will come back again and again.

Out of all of the CoCo Ichibanyas I have ever been to this one tastes the best and is my favorite one. The food just tastes more flavorful/crispy and the service here is amazing. I'm surprised it's not as packed as the irvine location but it is quite far. They have plenty of seating inside and the servers are extremely nice. I would recommend anyone who wants homemade japanese curry to come here as they don't use those curry blocks from the stores.

My last review was in 2011! With the old Curry House long-gone, Coco still offers curry with customizeable spice levels and additional items. The Curry sandwich is a nice add to the menu. Son ordered the Curry chicken sandwich, hubs ordered the Katsu Omelet Curry and I, wanting some omurice inspiration, went for the egg-topped Keema. The keema with ground meat is a delicious as I remembered it. Staff was helpful with recommendations.
